Donate to the Raleigh Fire Museum via Combined Campaign

September 15, 2014

Does your workplace participate in the annual Combined Campaign for charitable organizations? You can contribute to the Raleigh Fire Museum as a write-it agency. Read more...

Fall is coming and your fire museum is busy. We’re receiving a donated 1936 American LaFrance pumper, old Engine 1. It’ll be towed to Raleigh, and cleaned and assessed before placing in storage.

Restoration is underway of our 1961 American LaFrance pumper, which firefighters helped purchase two years ago. We’re working on wiring now, and planning exterior restoration starting in winter. From disassembly all the way to paint ‘n’ polish.

We’ve been operating the fire museum each month, including special summer tours. We exhibited with a booth at the fire expo in July. We’re even planning a possible social event around the holidays. More on that later.

But we need your help, and your continued financial assistance. Last year we received over $800 in pledges from City of Raleigh fire department personnel during the city’s Combined Campaign.

We’d like to match and raise that amount this year.

Please consider a donation to the Raleigh Fire Museum. It’s easy!

Just add the following to the Write-In Agencies section of the form:
