Dear supporters, our fire museum organization needs help with our fleet of antique fire trucks. We have five rigs that formerly served the Raleigh Fire Department. They’re shown in the attached graphic. We need help on a number of fronts:
- Storage space for the two oldest trucks, 1936 ALF, 1961 ALF.
- Fire station bay for the 1989 Pierce, that we’re converting into a funeral caisson. (See raleighfiremuseum.org/caisson)
- Or even consolidated storage for the entire fleet, which also includes a 1978/1992 Mack/Pierce and the beloved 1989 Pierce Snorkel. Anyone have a warehouse?
Plus, help with…
- Volunteer apparatus operators, to join our organization and help keep the trucks moving on a regular basis.
- And, help getting our 1978/1992 Mack/Pierce to our monthly second-Saturday museum openings at the RFD training center.
- And, help taking the trucks to other appearances and other events.

- Funds and fundraising to make repairs and keep the trucks running.
- The 1978 Mack needs new tires and some repairs, for starters.

That’s everything that we need. It’s a big wish list, yes, but we’re trying.
