On Monday, May 15, 2023, the Raleigh Fire Museum received a donation of $740.00 from the Blood Connection for their participation at an April 22 blood drive event at the City of Raleigh Fire Department training center.
The event was organized by Recruit Academies 50 (pictured) and 51. It collected 33 units of blood, which will help save up to 99 lives. The donated money will be added to the fire museum’s general fund, which helps with the operation of their fire museum, which is open on the second Saturday of each month, and is located at the fire training center.
