This Saturday, the Raleigh Fire Museum will partner with the Raleigh Fire Department for a blood drive at the Keeter Training Center. The event is sponsored by Recruit Academies 50 and 51 and is the first blood drive hosted by a recruit academy.
Also during the 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. event, our fire museum will be open, and participants are encouraged to visit the museum before or after donating blood. Admission is free.
Additionally, the non-profit fire museum organization will receive a $20 donation for each person that donates blood. You’ll be helping to preserve the heritage and history of the city’s life savers, while helping to save someone’s life with your donation.
Appointments are encouraged and we encourage everyone to bring a friend or family member, to help make the event a success.
Please note that the museum will be open only for blood drive participants. For general visitors, please plan to visit on the second-Saturday of each month, during their regular openings.
