Retired District Chief Lewis V. Choplin, 91, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. He retired in 1981 with 28.68 years of service.
His funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, at Woodland Baptist Church, 190 Woodland Church Road in Wake Forest. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with fire department honors.
Friends may visit with the family prior to the service at the church from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
