Raleigh’s newest fire station recently opened at 10050 Durant Road. It replaced a 1998 engine house, also on Durant Road. That station was closed in February 2019, for planned expansion of a nearby railroad crossing.
New Station 22 opened in early August. This Saturday, September 17, 2022, there will be an open house from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tours will be provided and visitors can learn about the crews and their equipment. Housed at Station 22 are Engine 22, Ladder 22, Haz-Mat 22, and Battalion 1.
